Noemi Castella draws inspiration from legends, folklore, and traditional craftsmanship. Through films, installations, and ceramics, she explores collective memory and popular narratives, blending reality and fiction.

Noemi Castella was born in 1997 in Lausanne. She graduated from the Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design de Genève (HEAD) in 2018, then worked as production assistant for the agency vandy studio before joining the Master of Space and Communication at the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design de Genève (HEAD). She obtained her Master's degree with the mention "Excellent" and the award “Prix d’Excellence de la HES-SO du domaine Design”. She then worked as a MA Teaching Assistant in the MA Space and Communication (HEAD).

Today, she is engaged in her personal artistic endeavors, while also working as Creative Director for the agency Up to you in Fribourg. Additionally, she is an invited speaker at HEAD. In 2024 she co-created Frousse with Paradoxe Studio. Frousse is a creative atelier in Bulle, Fribourg.
